June Favourites 2017

All I feel like saying right now is, SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER!! That’s right, a 9 week break from work right here, YAAAS. It’s been a crazy few weeks to a month before now though. Needless to say, I’ve still been spending on makeup and skincare and I’ve got some good stuff to share with you.

The weather has been either gorgeous or completely unseasonably cold here in the North East, my skin has obviously not enjoyed this – it’s fragile enough as it is anyway! I’ve had to kick up the skincare to compensate for the weather really effecting my skin.

Leading onto my first favourite… The Ordinary 100% Organic Rosehip Seed Oil (quite the mouthful). I started off using this both day and night when my skin was freaking out and it helped me out so so so much. I LOVE The Ordinary, it’s such a revolutionary idea for skincare. £9 for 30ml of PURE rosehip oil is amazing. The Ordinary aim to please customers with skincare that works 100% without attaching a fancy price tag, which is a common find with skincare. I’d been looking for rosehip oil without any added frills for ages and some of them were £30+, so finding this is amazing. I will 100% be repurchasing, and probably using forever more.

My skin feels and looks clearer, more even and feels more hydrated. I use it only at night now as my skin has healed a lot and doesn’t need to have two servings a day, lets not get greedy! I would recommend this to anyone because oils DO NOT make your skin more oily, especially if used at night ‘cos your skin has all night to take in the goodness and you can cleanse in the morning removing any residue.

The Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara. I literally don’t know what to say apart from BUY IT, GIVE IT A GO! It’s £2 for 9ml and lasts ages – and works! I’m a sucker for buying cheap products and them being quite frankly, shit. But this is not. It’s a total game changer. It’s not as stiff as the benefit setting gel, but I like that because my brows look more natural and brow like. The Essence Lash and Brow Gel Mascara is plain and simple, it does the job and that’s it. I love it….£2!!!! Lot’s of the Essence products are amazing, it’s a phenomenal brand – don’t let its budget appeal put you off.

Sheet masks are a thing now, haven’t you heard? This is like a dream come true to me because usually masks can be drying and aimed at congested skin – which I get, and often love. But I literally LOVE the idea of putting a sheet of stuff on your face and it working its magic especially the moisturising stuff. Boot’s Sheet Masks have killed it. I love them all, especially the Radiance & Brightening one and the SUPER hydrating hyaluronic one. I love them so much, I’m taking one on holiday with me because planes and air con make my skin very sad. They’re usually on 2 for £3 in Boots too! So easy, so quick and such quick results. LARV IT.

Last but not least, I got a new Body Shop Lip Tint. I say new… I’ve had it like a month. I got the shade Dutch Tulip, purely because I’m going back to Amsterdam in July and I thought well, it’s the universe telling me to get it. It’s a gorgeous orange/red tone and lasts so long. I am a sucker for lip tints cos they last so long!
